Arlington

Going to Arlington made me realized how proud I am to be an American. Seeing the thousands of graves may me speechless. As I walked through the cemetery I thought about the struggle each these soldiers gave for this country, and how much of an honor it is to be an American. I really can not explain all of my feelings towards Arlington, it was a humbling experience.

Here is Robert E. Lee's home. He donated his land for the purpose of Arlington.

We made sure to see the Tome of the Unknown Soldier, and made it in time to watch the changing of the guards. Its completely quiet while you watch which made the ceremony more powerful.

Medals and flags honoring the unknown soldiers.

Another memorial we caught was the World War II Iwo Jima statue. When you see how large and massive it is, along with everything it stood for an American made it more captivating.
