This year we had to celebrate Easter a little different.
Sadly Pepa passed away two days before Easter, and all the plans were cancelled.
Mrs. Susan seen where the Jekyll Island Club was having an Easter egg hunt. It was amazing. Easter eggs were hidden all over the grounds when you found 10 you turn them in to collect a prize.
Lyla enjoyed running all over finding eggs. Even once she found her 10 she continued to look for more.
When she turned in her eggs she received a goody bag filled with little toys and candy. We also grabbed a little bite to eat along with a yummy funnel cake. I personally can never turn down funnel cake... It's one of my many foodie weakness.
Lyla also got to meet the Easter Bunny. She was excited and stood in the long line for her turn with the bunny. I was very proud of her she didn't cry and hugged the bunny good bye.
It was a blessing to watch my baby have fun during a sad time for our family.
This is the pink pony Lyla loved it! She would laugh and point when she saw it. She told me to get a picture of it.
On Sunday we attended church to hear the Easter sermon. The pastor gave a great message about our savior. My mother, Tim, and Logann came with us as welled. At the end of service we took a picture in front of the cross. It was decoreated so pretty.
